Plain English Allergen Labelling (PEAL)

Prepare PEAL-compliant labels with Foodworks.online Nutrition Labelling, and ensure your allergen information is available to consumers to find quickly and easily.

Foodworks ensures your allergen information is declared compliantly by:

using simple, plain English terminology
meeting the standardised formatting requirements

The new allergens are included: almond, brazil nut, cashew, hazelnut, macadamia, pecan, pine nut, pistachio, walnut and mollusc.

The PEAL requirements are contained in the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code. Food products labelled after February 2024 need to comply with the new PEAL requirements.

Country of Origin Labelling

If you sell food in retail stores in Australia, Country of Origin Labelling (CoOL) laws may apply to your products and have been mandatory since 1 July 2018.

Foodworks.online helps you comply with the legislation, calculating the percentage of Australian content for your sub-recipes and final recipes, and helping you to formulate your text statements.

Foodworks includes the CoOL Editor to make it easy and quick to enter CoOL values for all your raw materials.
